It's no secret that I love a charity shop and when I'm abroad I'm always intrigued as to what I might find so I always pop in if there is one nearby.
In Torremolinos while attending the Rockin Race Jamboree I visited my fave charity shop in town. I've been there before and I always get lucky so I was glad to bring home a few pieces with me.
I got this lovely versatile shirt dress for €3. The fabric is silk so it's actually great for warmth despite being thin if it's layered right so I can wear this in cold weather but it will come into it's own in the summer. Navy and stripes with red accessories make for such an easy vintage style look.
I cannot be the only one that misses C&A? This dress was also €3. It's quite unusual as the pockets wrap around the back of the dress and I especially like the side button fastening. It looked great with tights and knee high boots in the winter with a beret.
I fell in love with this jacket as soon as I saw it and it was only €5! It has such a distinctive 80s shoulder and splices of brown and grey in the detailing. I also love that it's grey rather than black or brown, it's nice to have something a little different.
Nothing is easier for a fast vintage style look than a granny blouse with a pencil skirt and this one ticked all the boxes for me. It is long sleeved with an embroidered collar and it's green which goes with so much in my very autumnal toned wardrobe. It was also only €3!
As it was a vintage event of course I wanted to buy some merch. I bought myself a couple of t shirts, one from the event itself and one of my fave band of the weekend - The Neatbeats.
I also picked up an LP because I only have a record player and I wanted to take their music home with me!
One challenge with attending a vintage event overseas is leaving enough room in your suitcase for shopping but I got away with it - just!
Since lots of vintage events are being cancelled due to everything thats going on I'm looking forward to being a lot more creative and shopping in my own wardrobe for dress up days. I hope everyone doing well!
Lots of love
