Phew! It's been a while since I have done a blog post. To be honest I've not really been feeling much like getting dressed during lockdown with a busy day job and generally not going anywhere!
This week I decided to get dressed up for no reason at all other than to show off this Quiz Clothing dress. It's one of only a handful of high street dresses in my wardrobe as most of my clothes tend to be vintage or at least second hand.
Dresses make up a large portion of my wardrobe because they are just so easy and this style of dress in particular with long sleeves and the detail in the skirt means it needs minimal accessories, tights and shoes - and I'm done! Quiz tend to make dresses of the same pattern in multiple fabrics so I'll definitely be keeping my eye on what else they bring out in this style.
The fit of this dress is really great for a busty lady like me. Anything that buttons on the front is a nightmare for gaping so a wrap front is always a winner in my book!
The fabric is also really lightweight so it would be fine at a summer festival but also on a cooler day it can be layered with tights and a top underneath as I did on this grey day.
I love the trendy pink leopard print of this dress and the faux tie around the middle which compliments the tiers of the skirt and gives the illusion of a smaller waist.
I felt like all black accessories were the way to go on such a busy print, my shoes are from the Clarks outlet near my house (very useful for a bargain) and a lovely hair bow made by my friend Catherine at Vintage Frills which she included with a recent Etsy purchase I made from her shop. Sunnies are from Primark last year.
I've been hiding away a lot this lockdown but I have been doing a lot of vintage procurement for autumn and winter so you can expect some more blog posts on those coming soon, I'm really excited to share them. In the meantime I'll go back into hiding...
Lots of Love
