I have been a big fan of Bow and Crossbones for a long time. I usually look forward to my shopping hauls at all the summer time vintage events but this year they are cancelled as we know!
I do have a little haul of purchases from their recent sale to share, it was my birthday after all!
I love earth tones and they make up a lot of my wardrobe so when I saw the Heddy range I knew it would work really hard in my wardrobe. I do also have this in orange and yellow but it is currently at the post office.
This range (and some of the other B&C ranges) comes with a stretch bracelet. I am loving these because in my day job I type so much that anything that moves just annoys me! Bangles are reserved for weekends at the moment!
Of course I had to get the matching brooch and earrings. The great thing about reproduction jewellery is that, unlike some vintage , you can get the matching items for very coordinated accessorising.
Sticking with the green and brown theme I also bought a couple of pieces from the Tini Deco Fan range. I love the deco shapes on this and any brooch that has dangles is right up my street!
Just as an additional treat I got some fakelite earrings as I have some bangles in my true vintage collection that I wanted to match these to and I have always wanted the atomic shape ones.
I know it's a hard time for some of our fave reproduction brands and many places have now closed temporarily. It will be tough given that the trade in the summer vintage scene means a lot to some of these companies.
I am wishing them and all their staff well and hope to see everyone for shopping and merriment on the other side.
